Luke 2:25-32 “Jesus, Our Hope”

Pastor’s wife, Jennie Christianson, delivered this message at the annual Ladies’ Christmas Tea on Saturday, December 4, 2016

Here are some highlights of the message:

Christmas is a good time to think about everything we have because our Savior came into the world. The Jews had been waiting for centuries for Messiah to come. Their hope was in His coming. Because we trust in God and believe in His Word we have hope that is steadfast and unshakeable. In Luke 2:25-32 we see Simeon, a devout man waiting for the Messiah, meet the baby Jesus–the fulfillment of his hope.

Because Jesus Christ came:

1. We have the answer for our sins.

2. We have been reconciled with God.

3. We have power for holy living.

We can endure trials and tribulations because of the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
