REVELATION 14:1-5
Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps. They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.
God does not lose us. He will get us safely to Heaven. He never takes His eyes off of us.
Five Truths About the 144,000 in Heaven
- They have the mark of God the Father, not of the antichrist.
- They sing a new song.
- They lived pure lives.
- They are sincere in their faith.
- They follow the lamb wherever he goes.
Jesus said, “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you” (John 15:14). It’s not for us to pick and choose what we like in the Bible and what we don’t like. We walk with Him each and every day and follow Him when it’s easy and pleasant and when it is not so easy and pleasant.
These 144,000 in the book of Revelation were walking with God one day on earth, and the next day they were walking with Him in Heaven. One day we start our journey on this planet, and before the day is over, we will walk right into Heaven.
If you walk with the Lord on earth, you also will walk with Him in Heaven. If you walk away from the Lord on earth, you will walk away from Him, right into eternity.
