Church in the Park
Each Summer we “Make Jesus Known” by declaring Christ and worshiping Him publicly. Typically we meet from time to time starting one Sunday in July and conclude before Labor Day Weekend.
Pray Invite Bring Serve
We desire to reach people that will not visit the church building during a regular church meeting. However, they may visit us in the park! The recommended way to invite a loved one to Church in the Park is designed around a personal invitation. To put it in perspective, over 80% of those who respond to the gospel message at churches across America were brought by a friend or family member!
The four simple steps are:
- Pray for those you know who do not yet have a personal relationship with Christ.
- Invite those you have been praying for to Church. To put it in perspective, over 80% of those who respond to the gospel message at Harvest events were brought by a friend or family member!
- Bring those you have been praying for to Church—and then bring them again the following week.
- Serve like Jesus served. There must be people who are willing to serve for evangelism to be successful.
There are many different ways to invite people to attend church with you—such as a printed invite, calling and inviting them, sending a text message, or using social media. The more personal the method, the better—and sometimes using multiple methods serves as a good reminder.
Offering to pick someone up and bring them to church can be an effective means of making sure they actually attend. You not only help them get there, but you help make sure they don’t forget or get distracted by something else.
