The main passage in the Bible that mentions the “mark of the beast” is Revelation 13:15-18
“He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.” Revelation 13:15-18
This mark acts as a seal for the followers of Antichrist and the false prophet (the spokesperson for the Antichrist). The false prophet (the second beast) is the one who causes people to take this mark.
The Bible also speaks of a new beginning that will also take place. There will be no perversion, no murder, no terrorism, no war, no starvation, no problem of any kind.
Why?
Because Isaiah 11:9 says the knowledge of the Lord will fill the earth. That is the good news. The bad news is it is going to get worse before it gets better.
Here in Revelation 13 we are looking at spiritually dark times and what the Bible describes as the tribulation period.
