Communion is an important aspect of a Christian’s relationship with the Lord. It isn’t meant to be a ritual, but a way for us to constantly be reminded of who Christ was and what He did for us. None of us are worthy to come to God at all on our own merits. We are worthy through the perfect life and death of Christ Jesus.
