What to Expect

Welcome to Calvary! Whether this is your first time at Calvary, or you have been here before, we want to make it clear to you that you are welcome and you are loved!

A Typical Sunday Morning Meeting

We meet at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. We meet, greet, share coffee and refreshments for the first few minutes.  Then Pastor Jeff will teach a message designed to help you apply biblical principles to everyday life. This message will be about 45-50 minutes in length. Often, there is an invitation to surrender your life to Christ (bring an unsaved loved one who wants to become a Christian).  We welcome you to talk to or pray with our pastor or another ministry volunteer after the service.

NOTE: We are praying for God to send us a worship pastor. Please pray with us as we trust Him for that right leader!

Middle School and High School students are encouraged to attend the service with their family.  Younger children are encouraged to attend Children’s Church where they are ministered to at their age-appropriate level. We ask that kids who are not at the age to pay attention in the adults service choose the children church. Many thanks for your cooperation!

We have a comfy chair for moms with babies if she would like to hear the message. Although we have an epic team of volunteers to care for your child, you may choose to use the area in the foyer where you can sit with your baby.

At Calvary Chapel, we place a high emphasis on the teaching of God’s Word. It’s how we worship and know our savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. With that in mind, we do our best to minimize distractions. Please consider this ministry emphasis as you make decision to attend the services 🙂

Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting

From time to time, The Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting starts at 6:00 PM on a rotating and seasonal basis.  Check the event calendar for updates.

Church Atmosphere

At Calvary, you will experience friendly people, relevant messages, all in a comfortable environment. We want to make you feel as welcome as possible.  We are a small church with a big heart for Jesus! We invite you to dress casually and comfortably. You’ll fit right in. After all, the Bible tells us that God is more concerned with our hearts than He is with how we dress or look (1 Samuel 16:7).

Where do I park?

We are on the corner of Grand and 9th.  All street parking is free on Sunday! Street-side parking is available in 2-hour increments during the weekdays and is unlimited on weekends and after 6 p.m. All-day parking is available at the parking garage located at 9th Street and Cooper Ave. which is right across the street from the church.

**Please be advised that the parking lots behind the church building with names on them are paid for by the local businesses.  You may be booted, towed and/or ticketed if you park in a private parking space.

What is available for my children?

We offer Children’s Church for infant through Middle School age. It is preferred that young children attend the children’s church as we have a specially designed ministry just for them.  Additionally, we want to minimize distractions so that we can study the Word of God as adults.  Some Middle School and all High School Students are encouraged to enjoy the meeting with the adults.

Remember, it is the parents privileged to raise their children in the Lord. It is also the children’s duty to obey their parents godly choices to raise them biblically and in the Lord. We are here to help sow good, godly Bible teaching into your child’s life! The Bible also says,  Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” We support you in your decision to raise your kids when we live in a culture that tells us, “Parents obey your children” in exact opposition to God’s Word.

What if I have a special need?
