“Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”
During the tribulation, people get born again and they will be martyred for their faith.
Maybe you need some rest today from the difficulty of it all. Like what Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Jesus did not promise rest from problems. Here we talk about “rest for the soul”. This is internal rest that cannot be robbed.
It’s important that we realize that in this side of heaven, we’re not going to have the rest in peace that we will have in eternity. We’re going to have difficulties.
These difficulties are not arbitrary.
In the Bible, we realize that patience and comfort are poured to believers and non-believers. We’re given chance every time. Now here, we’re given comfort from tribulation.
